Question About Expansion Pack

Download compatability with UK Retail Version

I guess this is a question for Stardock reall, but wasn't sure where to post it/ask it.

I have a UK Retail version of GC2 - I want to preorder the expansion pack from the websiet, will there be any issues with Registration Keys or will it just use the new download version reg key?

(Sorry if this is a dumb question)

Eh? What do you mean? They're compatable, as the US and UK are the same game.

Sorry, didnt explain myself very well. I have had other games purchaed reatil in the UK, and then downloaded the online explansion and it doesnt run with the original UK reatil version.

I wanted to see if the downloaded expansion pack (which I am guessing is US version) will work with UK Retail original games.

(Again sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am just after clarification)

The only differences in any international versions of GC2 are the translated files for the non-english versions. Otherwise, they are identical and thus should work just fine with any future addons.

But won't the UK version have the EEEEEEVIL extra vowels (armoUr, etc)?

Extra vowels aren't evil, cheesily shortening words (like color) is.

Extra vowels are evil, but in a civilized way.

The UK version has a different CD key than the US version, and has different packaging (at least, the collectors editions differ). There were some problems with these UK cd keys not working. Stardock provided replacement cd keys, and I think Woozywyvern is asking which CD key he should use for preordering. I'd like an answer to this question as well.

Extra vowels are not evil, the words with 'extra' vowels are actually the originals.

Use your serial number (i.e., not the one that starts with GC2-).

Not really. The words with extra vowels are not the originals. The originals we mostly can't pronounce.

Besides, if you want to go there, we should still be using "thee", "thou", and "thy."
