This is Norrington. TSS Dauntless and the Bellicose have completed our patrol of The Void. There are no indications of any Drengin activity in the vicinity. We encountered only two vessels, as expected: a Torian merchant courier bound for Mars on approved trade route 5, and the colony ship TSS Hestia on her way to New California with more settlers. Sensor sweeps of the sector reveal no tactical targets, but have returned anomalous readings from a small debris field. I recommend that a survey ship be dispatched. Nothing further to report at this time, Admiral. Norrington out.

I am relatively new to the forum-world. The acronym PBEM is unfamiliar... As to role-playing, I was never that kind of geek (no insult intended, I was simply of a different denomination). But, yes. I suppose when I wrote this I was "playing" the good Cpt. of the Bellicose, and the reader stands in for either the Admiral or someone else with access to the comm log... Anywho, this post was a mistake... read the one titled "The Second Drengin-Terran War -- Military History" for the rest of this opening vignette.

Sorry again for the mis-post.

too bad it was "misposted".

some people just cant roll with it, and so they say, "huh?".

happens to me all the time. happened to Beckett. happened to Gaddis. happened to Joyce.

don't be discouraged.

write more. write often. or in Beckett's words, "fail. fail again. fail harder."

eventually the women will come. or bois. depending on your preference...

PBEM stands for Play By E-Mail if I'm not mistaken.... (which wouldn't surprise me in the least)
And I agree with onowak, write more often, it sounds like it's very entertaining....

Says Dodo, who abondoned his great idea

Yeah, writing up stories, AARs, etc is not only acceptable on this forum, it's encouraged. Everyone here loves a good story where the drengin die.

happened to Beckett. happened to Gaddis. happened to Joyce.

I heart Beckett, but Joyce requires a very specific mood...else I find him too obtuse. Thank you for the votes of confidence, BTW...

...And speaking of web-speak acronyms:
PBEM stands for Play By E-Mail if I'm not mistaken

thanks for the explanation.

"fail. fail again. fail harder."

Failure has a certain "jew no say kwa", don't you think? (French was never a strength...)

Oh, and the "boi" loves the bad writing almost more than the good. Thankfully

anyway, if there's interest, go 'head and read this communique in context. Link I'm not sure how to use this link-y thingy, so I hope that works. Anyway, I just finished my last round of exams, so I've been channelling my residual verbosity into some GalCiv2 fiction fluff. In short, there's plenty more where that came from.

TSS Bellicose is desoyed!
