Government level as it effect Population Growth

Population Growth = CurrentMorale X Government Level X PlanetQuality Factory X GrowthFactor.

So can anyone shed some light on What Government level is, does this mean that higher forums of Government have higher Pop growth bonuses?

Given that the governments don't even provide the +25%/+25%/+25% production bonuses they say they do, (they give your economy +10, +20, and +30 instead), I don't expect them to have any far-reaching effects on things like population growth.

what I cannot understand is why those faulty gorverment bonus texts have not been corrected.

It is not hard to mod back in.
Copy and paste into Notepad, and use the Replace function to change the [ back to < and the ] back to >, than replace the appropriate sections in the TechTree.xml file.

By choosing to change to a republic, citizens in our empire will, for the first time, get to vote on their ruling party, whether or not to go to war, and what form of government they wish to belong to. So keep your people happy and they will vote in your favor.[/Details]

There is nothing there to improve the economy. As it stands now they give an increase to Culture and Diplomacy only.
This change will improve the economy, however.

I saw a thread where a guy very rigorously worked out the bonuses from the game itself, so I am thinking either they changed it or you are listing the tech bonuses and the governments do something else, or I am just wrong.

Here's the Link to the thread where they were using government type in their formula for economy bonus, which was

31.5*sqrt(pop)*(sum of buildings on planet)*(racial ability bonus)*government form
