I would like to name the stars...

Is there a way to do this? Or am I stuck with the names the game assigns?

You could always add your own names in \Data\English\STARS.txt and they should be used in a new game.

There are several mods that change the stars list (including mine). They probably want to name stars in-game, though, and force the rest of the galaxy to use their names through magic.

Kinda like when you rename a planet "in-game" and "force" the rest of the galaxy to use the name through magic?

Yeah, that's a valid comparison! I mean, two different civs can share a planet, right? And you can have your citizens on a star, right? Or ... not.

Yes, I want to change them in game. I am hoping they will allow this to happen in a future release.

We had this ability in GalCiv1.
