Cannot register

I recently purchased a new, sealed copy of this game at Circuit City. When I try to register it, either via the web or from within Stardock Central, I am told that my serial number was previously registered to a different email address.

Stardock customer support has not provided competent support. They should have resolved this at their end; instead, they simply and uselessly suggested that I try registering again, which obviously doesn't work.

Does anyone have a direct contact number for the company?

go back to the support area, go into the complete knowledge base - should be in there somewhere, I just can't look cuz my employer filtered it

Not to answer your question or anything, but why do you want a direct number? Do you plan on calling Frogboy's secretary? Or maybe the artistic department? Or perhaps accounting? The reason they have a customer support number is so you can contact someone who can help you with the game.

I'm going to suggest what I usually suggest to angry, impatient people (not sure which one you are):

Relax, be patient, be understanding. Try going back to tech support and fully explain your problem. Tell them about the lack of help the previous advice was and work with them. I promise they are there to help you, not tick you off and then giggle when they hang up the phone.

Peace be unto you

Teancum, your reply is obnoxious and needlessly provocative.

Why would I call them directly?  Because their technical support via email was inadequate and they took 4 complete business days to get back to me with an obviously useless reply.

My experience is tech support via the phone tends to be superior that over email and produces results much more quickly.  Does that answer your question?

If this were free software, my expectations would be different.  Unforunately, it is not and having paid for it, I expect that it will at the very least provide its advertised functionality.

Provocative? Thats quite funny considering I'm asking you to relax!

Your experience is actually a fact: Audiable instantaneous interaction will always be superior to written communication. Had you said in your orignal post that you had recieved poor support via email and were looking for a number for tech support, you might have illicted a much more usfull response... A bit Ironic don't you think that your written communication was as un-helpful to others as another's written communication was to you!

And no one said that you shouldnt expect to recieve help from the company that created the product... In fact in my reply I stated that the company should and most likely was willing to help.
