Tree tool?

Has anyone come up with a way to be able to list a races research tree? For example lets say I am playing my customized race over the coarse of a couple of days or more and I want to see what all I have researched before going into the game? I realize that going into the game we can view our researched items... but its clunky and doesnt give a snap shot of the big picture quickly.
