Some things to think about
What things should they add to a future update/expansion?

Alright folks, let's see if I even posted this in the right place... prolly not.
Okay, the point of this is; what type of cool ship compnents would you like to see? here are a few of mine. Technical specs are optional
Surveyor - unlike the current survey module this would also be able to survey planets, showing the tile bonuses.
Research Station - if this is on a ship that takes part in combat(only in the attack not necessarily able to defend itself ) you have a random chance (around 50%) of instantaneous progress (up to 50% completed, cumulatively from all encounters) on the weapon/defense technologies the enemies used against you. This also allows you to research that tech even if it's way beyond your current tech level. IE: Positronic Torp II is used against you and you only have Stinger.Now you can research P T (might take forever, but at least it allows you to) Even if this ship is destroyed you may gain research, however to much lesser degree because the ship was only able to get off a short-burst tranmission.
Salvager- if this is included in a combat fleet, all destroyed ships are "Sold for scrap metal" and you regain about 1/8 of the "Instant Buy" value fo those ships. either that or the full "Production Value" (which is a lot less)
These are all I can think of right now. I resonably do not expect these to ever happen, except maybe in a paid-for expansion, but I think they would be cool. What do you think? Feel free to tell me how they would unbalance the game.
