Application error after saving ship design

First of all I want to say that this has become one of my favorite games, I have the just one more turn syndrome. I played the other day for over 10 hours the other night. But last night I went to save my custom ship design and it crashed to the desktop with a application error, this is the first time this has happened since putting many hours into this game. I do have the 1.0x patch. My computer is more than capable of handling this game, and everything is up to date except the soundcard driver, its from August 2004, it;s a dell soundblaster and the drivers from creative well not work with this card, but I;ve never had a problem with any other game. Is this a known issue ? If anybody needs my debugg I'll post it.

try going to the Galciv 2 irc channel (the address is on one of the stickies). someone may be able to help you there. Or try emailing stardock support (sorry i forgot the address, look around). i've never encountered teh problem though.

I encountered the same problem, but I have yet to patch the game. I will try patching and see if that helps.
