Missing Graphics for planets, resources, anomolies and ships

All I see are icons

Here is the screenshot of what it looks like

This glitch happened all of a sudden. The game was working fine before. I've been running the 1.0X patch ever since it came out. This glitch started happening 2 nights ago. I am pretty sure I haven't changed any setting in the game or on my computer since I've installed the game. This happens whether I load an old game or start a new one.

Here is my debug.

Is this causing my graphics problems? I haven't changed anything... and if it is causing my problems, how do I fix it?

Try zooming in. That is what the map looks like when zoomed out. There is a setting that changes at what point of zoom you change from tactical (with the nice pretty graphics) to statigic (what you have).
there is an option somewhere about zooming and symbols.

From the main menu, click on options, click on interface tab, one of the sliders is for tactical zoom scaling (forgot the exact wording, I think it's the bottom one). I'll check back later to see if that worked.

Yes thank you!! that solved my problem. Weird thing is, I remember adjusting it to 90 when I first got the game. So it worked for a long time at 90. Then it stopped working.

Anyway, I tried setting it all over the place (except 0) and it still didn't work. I actually had to slide it all the way down to 0, then set it to something else and now I got all my pretty graphics back! Thanks!

I guess this is a glitch because I've read that other people have had the same problem.

Unless the slider setting is not staying where you put it, it is just user error. If you notice the map switching like this again and you haven't fiddled with it, then it might be a glitch. Glad you got it to your liking again

When I still had the glitch, the slider at 90. I had to slide it fully to 0 and then to another value before I got my graphics back.
