Frustrated with ship management

Hi All,

Is there an easy way to manage an ever expanding fleet of ships? I find it very difficult after building many ships to keep track of where they are, what their orders are, how many hit points they have etc, and it's really bogging down the gameplay. If there is a screen somewhere in the game that shows all of this information I'm missing it, please help. The ships listing on the main screen isn't much help, it doesn't tell me where my ships are or what they're doing and it would be nice if I could double click the ship name and could go straight to it. Also when ships are enroute to some destination it would be nice to double click the ship and have its destination in the report. Thanks.

Dave

There's the planets/ships window you can bring up with the left-most button on the control panel. It will give you a list of your ships -- click once on the ship to jump to it on the main map. When a ship is selected, its destination is shown on the control panel.

Also, make use of the way point system - Really useful to set up "Staging" areas.

I call mine depending on which border they are, such as "Altarian front" or "Drengin front"

Really, really useful =D

I even give my rally points pun-like names: my marshalling point, Marshall Point, is in the Marshall system. Oh yes.

I rarely use the ships tab, but the shields indictated defended worlds and the fleet symbols are all I need to coordinate my activities.
