I would like the ability to turn OFF planet revolt due to influence

Why the heck would I want this you ask???

Well for me, and the several games that I have played I am seeing a pattern that once you achieve a certain "critical mass" in terms of influance other civs planets start revolting in mass every turn sometimes 2 or 3 at a time. and the game ends very quickly....usually when this happens i just create a new game cause the game quickly loses its challenge when I am at war with 3 or more civs and their planets are dropping like flies and I dont even have to build a fighter to win...where is the challenge in that?
If you had the ability to turn revolt off then the only way to take a planet for both you and the AI would be by force making the game much more challenging and lasting alot longer....I realize that some people probably like it the way it is but for me when I have the game set to military conquest as the win condition, and the others turned off I always end up winning by influence long before a military one.

OR the option to turn ALL resources off for a map so that none spawn for a given game.

I see more post about people not being able to get planets with influence and you are getting it very easy.

I see that but I dont understand how/why they have such a hard time of it.....infact the game i am playing now (Gigantic map), is doing the same thing, I got up this morning and played before i went to work...with a 1 hour period I went from around 15 planets to my civ's influence covering the map and the Korax surrenderd to me, Arceans surrendered to the Terran alliance, and the Terran alliance asked me 3 times for a peace treaty which i refused since they started it...simply by seizing a couple of influence resourse which basicly cut the other civs zone in half kind of like a pincer move on a battlefield. I have never worried about getting the resources first I just research and stay neutral...

keep my military only high enough to prevent attacks (but not to large to suck the BC's outa research/building) cause if you build to big a military up front you will have to raise taxes and lower spending in the other areas (pop+Stockmarket+small mil = 100% spending at 100% research at 33% tax rate and weekly pop growth) WITHOUT CHEATING! I then build up economy and military bases around my planets/max my trade routes.... then once I get to HUGE hulls and Supreme/ultimate miniturization and hyperwarp I build BIG custom ships.

I also Only reaserch 1 type of weapon to the max to save time then i plant influence bases at the edges of the existing area of influence and start taking planets then build more influence bases kind of like playing dominos.....I have won games entirely by influnce without forcefully taking a planet where the endgame movie plays etc etc, on difficulty settings up to normal.

I have only played medium and small maps. And there using influence is a lot harder.
