Per Pixel - can't do it

Hi, my system doesn't support the per pixel blending thing.. does that make it a waste of money to buy WindowsBlinds for my system? I just don't want to buy it and then not be able to use it.


I installed a friend's copy of WindowBlinds on my system and everything is black and really slow on my system. I read the thread about the hacked software, so I'm assuming that's the copy he gave me was hacked. i just don't know if that issue is because it's hacked, or because my system can't support the per pixel stuff..

Your computer graphics hardware does not support acceleration of per pixel alpha.  WindowBlinds requires this for per pixel alphablended borders as without it performance would be poor.  Please see if you can obtain new drivers for your graphics hardware.  Recent ATI & NVIDIA boards should support this feature.  Onboard graphics tend not to.

The slow black is due to that being a cracked copy.

once you get the crack completely out of your system...you might want to focus on your drivers since they appear to be nonsupportive of per pixel


but even updating your video/drivers...unless you completely clean out your buddies' crack, you won't really be successful with the trial version, to test your video/driver updating

Also check to see if your graphics card model even supports per pixel accelleration-- not all do.

There is plenty here for WB5, even if you can't use the glass effects of per pixel accelleration. You'd have to give it a try to see how good it is...
