Bug: Ground Battle: Draw

Weird behaviour

Today I had a draw at a ground combat.
Both sides ended up with 0:0 troops.
The system tells me I lost the battle.
The system then told me (because of me using Gas Warfare) that quality on >>>my<<< new planet is beeing reduced.
But it still wasn't my planet.
The next transport couldn't land troops because the System thought it's my planet. Which it still wasn't
The next transporter then worked and I finally got the planet.

If you lose all your people in an invasion, you shouldn't win the planet, even if all the existing population is also destroyed. The inability to send another transport, though, sounds like an issue. Perhaps the invasion code has a population check, and by the time your second transport arrived, pop. growth had added a few people?

Had the same thing happen. Basically, you win the engagement but at the last second it takes away the small amount of surviving population who won the engagement. Definitely a bug.

If both sides are entirely wiped out the planet should lose any allignment it has with any civilization. If every one on the planet is dead, then no body controlls it. So really, you're now looking at a race to get a colonization ship (or possibly troop transport) to the planet before the other civ does.

Wouldn't a combat ship with attack 1 and defense 1 (or greater) vs. a ship with attack 1 and defense 1 (or greater), result in a stalemate because the attacker would role a 1...1=1 and the defender a 1...1=1? Neither ship would be able to inflicted damage on the other but combat continues until there is a winner!

Anyone seen this situation?

I believe it has been stated that rolls start at zero.

I had the ground combat draw thing happen to me last night. The weird thing is that a couple turns later (before I had a chance to reinvade), the planet suddenly had a population of 16000 and the red skull-and-crossbones symbol.
