3rd ehh... I think that means more than it first appears...I mean look at the other titles and you can pretty much figure out why they are there. But this game...what is the draw, really. GC1 is about the only ad I've really seen and at the core this is the same game. I was surprised at the somewhat early coverage @ IGN. Seems someone took a personal interest. But otherwise I don't see how it came about, but I'm impressed and pleased.
Main reason, for as much as these forums seem to hate Firefox I've had a good time reading what has been going on and feeling that I have gotten a much closer look at the meat of the game you don't see. And I feel pretty good that I won't get the heeartbreak I encountered soon after Tribes 2 was released a sequel I thought was top notch but it seems the developer survival was tied to closely to something other than the success of the game. ( or maybe I have a bias and missed the real story).
Anyhow, the feedback and responses have been impressive on this forum. About as good as customer service I have seen anywhere. Mainly due to the apparent ability for the users, to a great deal, to be able to explain their problems and for someone to actually look at the problem and put some simple (not ment in effort) human action to address the problem(s). It's going to be slow but there is that feeling that something is being done and you haven't been forgotten.
I've had a fairly recent experience that wished this kind of customer service was more common.
Via skimmer or computer abuse someone was able to get my credit card from a local gas station by me using my card only at the pump. Looking online at the last week I see that somehow that very day two additional purchases were credited to the gas station for $40 and $50 even (I mean who has even dollar purchases). Well I called in the problem and they said they would look into it. (and it was a much longer telephone call than it should have been)
I watched my account like a hawk and not tow days after the discovery bingo another charge, same station but for an odd amount. This time when I called they recredited me two days later and cancelled the card. But the first two were still under 'investigation' and not credited for another month. How would it not be obvious that if the latest charges were considered unautherised that the first two I called about were questionable. Under what bizzare circumstnaces would a person make a false claim and then a few days later just happen to have a legal claim? I'm curious what kind of spending went into the whole process...
Oh well, word to the wise watch yer accounts and if you ever start a buisness make sure you pay special attention to customer service ( and logistics of course, it's all about the logistics)

I know how that sort of thing stinks.
