Birthday Gift Ideas?

Hey All,

I have my sons first birthday coming up early March. I was just hoping to get some ideas from this thread as I know a lot of community members have children. This is my first child and I just want to get the right things for him.

I've already checked out http://www.bluehillbyhand.com which specializes in Bubble Wands. Thought that would be a cool gift and fun for him and probably my wife and myself.

Hopefully I'll get a bit of activity here so I don't need to guess what to get and what's good for a 1 year old. I'm horrible with presents. I got my wife a Pink Hedgehog stuffed animal for V-Day. LOL.. Thanks for the help in advance!

At this age (and at every age) give your time; it will matter more in the end.

For "real" gifts; get something you thisk is cool. Your son will probably play with the box anyway.

Radio cars are fun for kids to chase. Go for one of those. I kept a Radio Shack pocket size car for a long time in my diaper bag. Hours of entertainment in small spaces while waiting for whatever.
