{BootSkin} A grey bar shows up on the left while loading Windows XP with custom bootskin

Hello,

I downloaded BootSkin, and applied an custom design.

Only when I start Windows XP, I get an small grey bar on the left side of the screen. Which I don't want, it should be black.

The design itself is an black background with yellow letters.

Can someone tell me the solution?

What skin are you using?

I've made an custom bitmap. En imported that into Bootskin.

Then I get the grey bar on the left.

And I'm not using a skin, i'm just using only BootSkin. ( My computer runs in shell mode )

Bootskin images have to be 640x480 and 16 colours (4 bit) to work. If you have a progress bar, that needs to be 22x9 and from the same colour palette as the background.

Odd colour effects are usually due to one of the above not being correct

Ok, we'll I think you guys don't understand what I mean.

I've taken an sample bootskin image from the Bootskin map itself. I've opened it in Paint and edited it to my wishes.

Sample of my bootskin: http://www.jeroenzelle.nl/musiccomputer/BootSkin.bmp

And this is an example of how it shows on my computer, with the grey bar on the left: http://www.jeroenzelle.nl/musiccomputer/problem.png

Do you understand now?
