Great to have you aboard Meglobob. We have some great players in our group. We all like to share info. on our games. If you read our previous posts on this thread you will find a lot of usefull info. I will echo the above statement and say, it was a long hard fight, but we did it. I here the old "Queen" song "We are the Champions" playing throughout the empire. I hope the interest in the Metaverse will improve now that they have the scoring system problems solved. It would make our goal

Hello to everyone. I would like to welcome our newest member. Please welcome Trinity. Trinity's total plus the scores the rest of us put up today will put us very close to the top. CraigHB Do you think that a score of 5000 pts, after spending a week and a half playing the one game, for a suicidal military victory on a huge map is fair? As Magnumaniac said in this thread the Beta 3 and 4 versions of 1.1 were recalced even though the new scoring system was in place for those versions. I agree that these games should be removed if they cannot be restored to there original value. It is a compromise that i would be happy with. If they were removed anyone that played a lot

I think a lot of players dont realize that another recalc was done. The scoring system is now working correctly and readjusting scores at everry submission instead of a huge hit at game 5, 16, 32 etc. dj-LiTh The main reason your score dropped is because you had a v1.1 beta score that got recalced. All of us that played games on the 1.1 betas 1 and 2 took quite a hit on this recalc. The 1.1 betas missed the last recalc. All recalcs have now been done. If you post another game your total will

I too wonder why I sometimes get royally flamed when i was honestly trying to improve the game and everything involved with it. For some reason it is the 5th game that triggers the division by 2. The program must be set to adjust the total score on the game following the game that the square root of the divisor reaches a whole number. So it stands to reason that the hits will take place on the 5th, 10th, 17th, 26th, 37th, 50th, 65th, Etc.

Yes. They have completed the recalc and our mighty empire is now in second place. Congratulations everyone. I am sorry couche left us because of last nights incident. gallagher118 The empire total is just a total of all the players totals within the empire. So if your score goes down, so does the empires score. Algorithms are not all that difficult to learn. Take a 3 month course and you will be able to do what he does. My point is he is beating the game by thinking like a computer and exploiting its weaknesses. I chose not to use algorithms as there is no fun in beating the game using those methods. He has obviously spent a lot of time analysing every move the AI makes and then restarts the game to a recent save to try a different scenario.
