Desc: - During AI moves my sov. was attacked and the game switched to tactical combat - During the tactical combat, I clicked on the character portrait to have a look more at his stats - At the point, the reward message box poped up telling me I found some books - I was then prompted to pick a new research choice (the research tree was overlaying the tactical combat). - When i closed the research option the tactical combat has soft locked

When I created my 2nd city, it is now "linked" to my capital. As you can see from the screenshot, it's name, production and population are all being displayed as my Capitals. When you click on it it goes to the capitals build / train screen - in effect making it impossible to build / expand this city. This is 100% reproducable from the save found here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/59426113/QuickSave.EleSav<

On a side note, some quick back-of-an-envelope maths: From the credits (1), it looks like there were about ~23 developers (2) on E:WoM. The development time was roughly 39 months (3). Thats a grand total of 897 "Man Months". If 30% of these were spend on MP, thats ~269.1 "Man Months" (or ~22.4 "Man Years") spend just on MP. That's a _lot_ of time that could have been spent on ... well ... anything really! Now the real numbe
Ok why would you have to rewrite TC if you had two players fighting? All the rules and such should be the same as if you were playing the NPC. And personally the MP expereance should be excatly the same as SP. No short cuts to make it faster for the ADD kids I would like the full SP game in the MP.
When they are talking about having to rewrite TC for MP, they are not talking about re-designing it. As you say, from a end-

My personal 1st impressions : - Leveling up : It feels more of an important decision choosing what ability to get and feels quite nice when you get that rare that picks your characters build. Definite improvement. - World : The world does feel a lot busier but also slightly more static. This might be because I'm playing it on a easier difficulty level, but although there are lots of monsters, you can avoid them if you wishs and they don't see

Can I also add: 4) In combat, you can see what effects have been applied to your characters, but I could not find a way to discover what these effects do. Some were obvious (like poison), but some were less so. A tool tip when you hover over it would be brilliant.

So money is the limiting factor for what you can maintain. More profitable empires can have more ships. The more a ship has in it (high tech weapons, lots of engines, etc), the more it costs per turn. Balanced, that would negate the need for logistics or ship points. Small empire, small fleet. Giant map, tons of settled worlds, and you can

Unless a ship stumbles onto the event horrizon. Then im guessing the ship would detect it rather quickly.... "Hey, whats that in front of us? Quick, reverse engggggggiiiiiiiii....."

Err... no i didnt have anti-aliasing enabled. So I tried enableing it in game ( x4) No difference. So I then switched to (x2), again no difference. So back to x4 and tyied re-starting the game. Unfortunately now i get a black screen at start up and nothing. The debug gave some interesting reading. All those "Cant render anything"s is im guessing the problem. I had a look in the pref.ini to switch it back, but couldnt find the switch. Things just seem to be getting worse, dont t

Sorry bout that, I dont look after this computer so didnt realise.... That has mostly fixed the problem but there is a couple of other things i have noticed. The date is not in the box (in fact the box + side seems to be moved over slightly) as can be seen by the way it cuts through a sun. Also in the middle of the screen there is a planet which has not zoomed out to tactical view. It is colonised by an alien race, but i cant remember which one. Sorry. <a href

well looking for good planets is easyer now as there are rings representing the planets if you zoom all the way out the best are white dots more rings = better world Unfortunately this stops once out get to quality 10. Any thing above all looks the same. Still, I supose they are all good above 10, but it would stil

I can make more screens of it doing it if you want. My specs were on lots of my other posts, but I will post them again anyway . And yes it is the only screen. All the others display properly. Thirded. Intelligence was a weak point in GC. For the most part I found intelligence only gave me race info, but then every now and then it would steal me a tech. A bit more information on (although not necessaryly control over) what your intelligence is doing would be useful. A little feeback means it doesnt feel like you are just throwing money away but rather you know where you are throwing all that money to. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/s

On my main Screen I get large white stripes on either side of the screen. Although this screen does not show it amazingly as the white of the web page blurs into the white i am trying to point out. The most obvious places is around the menu button. It then goes down where the notification icons appear. On other peoples screen shots this does not appear. Link <img src="http://images.stard

Ok, this might not have anything to do with GC2 and it could just be my installation, but after installing GC2 i do not seem to be able to exit from GC any more. I click on the exit button on the main menu at start up and it just hangs, task manager reporting it is "not responding" Quick Quilifier tho: This is my home computer, not my uni one, so I do not use it very often anymore as I am normally the wrong end of the country and have not played GC on i
