I read a lot. Usually, I read about two books a week. That decreases if I watch TV. I've been watching TV more because the floor in that room is heated (the only heated room in the house) and the lighting is not good in that room for reading. I read when I take the train. Podcasts have also been taking up some free time lately. I'm trying to read less and write more.

The hotel was free and included food because it could be covered by the 2000 baht voucher the Thai Tourist Board used to help people stuck in Thailand because of this. You had to have proof of ticket or cancelled flight which meant a trip to the airport. The hotel took copies of tickets and passports and will submit to the gov't to be reimbursed. I read the first three. Then I read spoilers for the fourth and was heartily grateful I did. I had my doubts about this movie as soon as I heard about it. What waxes as kind of poetic romance in a novel would never come across as anything but drivel in a movie. Meyers really hit that peculiar note of the kind of uber-boyfriend I think all (most?) of us really wanted as teens--the mysterious bad-boy who softens just for the heroine and is devoted beyond his own convenience.

I think an education is wasted only if the person decides to fry their brain with drugs or alcohol after. I wouldn't say that someone who had a brain injury due to an accident a waste, though. Beautiful photos! I had to laugh though, because for me "the Far North" looks completely different-- flat and maybe frozen at this time of year.
