I went to an electronics store today. Sadly, I didn't come home with speakers or a stereo. I got a line-in cable to plug my iPhone into some mini-component stereos and plugged the phone into a myriad of PC speakers. I think I'm off the Audio Technica a bit. No action accomplished on the quest for speakers yet. I went to the electronics store but had to print pictures before they closed so no time to check out speakers. I enjoyed reading it because it was such a nice account of what seemed to be a pretty calm, in control birth. I'm really glad to hear that your choices were respected and that things worked out pretty much as you expected. My husband and I are thinking about trying to have kids (if this is possible) and it's nice to read an account that doesn't involve a lot of life and death or high drama. It was really beautiful and encouraging.

To be honest, I doubt Bush or Obama had much to do with the gifts selected. So blaming or praising either one of them is really pointless. I was walking home today while listening to the soundtrack for "The Fountain". It was just a little past sunset, the streets were kind of quiet but I could see a few people walking home or out walking their dog. The air was still holding a bit of chill but I was bundled up in my coat and scarf. It was such a beautiful, contemplative walk home with just a hint of melancholy with this music.
