Bitdefender intercepted the operation and deleted the file. After spending far too much time with Bitdefender, I uninstalled it. Ran BAT file as administrator. Success. Rebooted. CORRECTION I have now seen this issue when Readest was not running. The interval remains 60 seconds.
This seems to happen primarily when I’m reading an ebook with Readest. I have not noticed the issue when any other app is primary. The refresh occurs approximately once a minute.
