Request To StarDock. As my trial has expired and as I have no means of contacting StarDock directly.. can I ask the following query. I am happy if the response is to my email address if you want to keep the reply c9nfidential. Query. If I purchase a 1 year licence , can I get a credit for this licence if I upgrade to a perpetual licence during the life of my subscription. That would allow me to test out some of the su

No pressure from me on time. I live in Dublin Ireland… where it is now close to 11pm. I am also conscious it is the start of a weekend. This stuff is not mission critical. I am spending time on it as I can see potential. I am an expert at dealing with enterprise level datasets and efficient workflows and apply these norms to my personal use of phones, tablets, pcs, etc. Win 11 is a serious disappointment… I am trying to make

Thanks for the quick reply. 1. Glad to see the Fence Title font is configurable. That is useful. Have not found details on how to configure font for the actual listed contents. 2. I see no reference in the documentation to controlling visibility of hidden or system folders. Maybe covered in the next point, but not keen to configure this per Fence. 3. Rules Per Folder. I see reference to the Rules per folder i

My trial has ended (several days ago) before I could finish my testing... as expected... so be it. Unfortunately I could not post this before it expired because this forum was not available. I keep getting the following message... despite having connectivity to all other web sites and I have a 1 Gb fibre connection. I tried on mult

And resultant view.. The big advantage (apart from simplicity.. is that the scroll wheel allows me easily slide down to entries lower in the sort order..

I think I found out where the configuration of the scroll bar should be .. but looks like it is not available. Amazing... for something so obvious. Hopefully I am wrong... as the Folder Portal is unusable in its current form... and that is the main motivating factor to consider fences. I am trialling Fences. In relation to the Folder Portal feature. I wish to be able to view the folders as a list... So... wish to have the scrolling bar at the right hand side instead of the bottom. Is that possible. It is more natural to be able to scroll vertically with a mouse, r

Here are the steps. 1. Ctrl Alt Del [This is the quick way... other shortcuts possible.] Select Task Manager 2. Select StartUp Tab It appears to default to showing start-up times in descending sequence of start-up times. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us

Thanks for the response above..... Just fyi. 1. I downloaded and tried WiseCare but it reports a boot time of 0,4 (I asume seconds). This is a long way off the boot time reported by the Windows operating system, which I can only assume is more informed. 2. Boot time has reverted back to 133 seconds. I see this in practice... where mostly it is circa 133 seconds, but some times in the 7-10 secs. <p

Update. I rebooted again and have got a normal start-up time. I will monitor for a while. I would love to find a recommended utility which logs start-up time of drivers and apps, so I could monitor if anything is blocking the start up sequence. Any suggestions welcome. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/73/62/7362867/7c0904a2-453c-4835-a464-057f817108f8.png" alt="" width="

Thanks for prompt reply. I am using the StartUp Tab in TaskManager. What utility are you using ? I just rebooted... and got the following numbers.... 1. ObjectDock... 2. slowest at 133,967 3. This shows all the apps I have auto startup. Everything else has auto start disabled. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/73/62/7362867/0116990d-0

I have been monitoring ObjectDock start times. Here is a screen grab from TaskManager. . 133 Seconds (133,967 ms) is a crazy long time for an app to launch. I only have 7 startup apps enabled. For comparison start up times for a number of apps are as follows... M

I do not want to get into an extended discussion or escalate this into a bigger issue than it might be. I am not expecting a response or any follow up actions to this specific reply. I would just like to make the following points. I had a list of issues I wished to discuss. I was happy to put such a list into a structured order, with background details and send it to you as pdf. So I posted the following request. <img src

Just saw it. Thanks for prompt reply. I had a query re Live running apps… but have discovered how to use the default taskbar. I have removed all apps from it and it now only shows active tasks….. which is very sweet. Will use for the next few days…. but I like how that is working. Also…. I recognise your support times…. My next techie query is that despite the fact I have the

I will keep the posts on this thread. Just to establish where we are..... I am awaiting a response for the question .... Is there any method to launch multiple apps at the same time. ... The clock is working now...showing the current time. I will check again later, just to confirm the icon is not frozen at the time of creation. I have since created my own mini app.... which updates the date and time dynamically every minute. I can place this anywhere on the screen and presents the info in a font and style that suits me. <img

Date Time Docklet Query 1. Time Icon is showing date, not time. 2. Date Time Docklets are not dynamic. They do not show the date or time. Yes… I can see the date if I mouse over, but that is not a practical everyday action. I have a 32inch 4k screen…. it takes ages plus effort to drag my mouse to the top right hand corner where I have these Docklets. Hopefully there is a workaround…. If not then it is a major dis-incentive to
