Those are both DEV builds. Any Windows 11 DEV builds will need the start 11 beta build to work. https://forums.stardock.com/509537/page/1/#replies Also, the next DEV build (after 22543) is supposed to be Windows 11's big release. It will change a lot of things so there is a chance it may affect start 11. I would wait to install that upcoming update.

It is a possible VBS issue. Windows 11's VBS has caused similar issues for me so it is better just to switch it off to get better performance. To do this in the Windows 11 search menu type core isolation then switch it to off

frankschabel - Are you using start 1.1 or 1.1.1.1. I had a similar issue using the beta version of start 11 where a file became corrupt and start 11 quit opening so I reverted back to 1.1 to fix this issue. However, for other people it is essential to use version 1.1.1.1 because they are using Windows 11 DEV build which broke some stuff for start 11. I think this is why Stardock is using 2 different versions for download. If one is giving you issues just switch to the other one. info

Maximeholler - Do you have "Show Beta downloads" check marked as shown in post #1. The latest release is 1.1.1.1 not 1.11

I am currently on Windows version 22000.469 I updated to start 11 v 1.1.1 and initially I was not having problems. Upon restarting my PC the start button was no longer working, it would only open up Windows 11 normal start menu. I reverted back to release build and the start 11 functionality did return. Update - I reinstalled v 1.1.1 and it is now working again. Some file must have become corrupted.

The cool kids part was supposed to be a joke because most people are still on Windows 10. However, Windows 11 market shares have grown. It is at 10 - 16 percent. I think they are claiming 16 percent now. So it is climbing at a steady rate. Sun Valley 2 may be the update a lot of people are waiting for as well. I have felt that I have seen a bit of a philosophical shift in the way Stardock is tackling Windows 11. It is a good change. For example, Start 11 made a pretty big change by evolving the start button themes. It would have been easy to have stayed with just Windows 7 theme like most start button replacements are doing. I actually like the look of windows 11 over windows 10 in general. There are only two elements that I find lacking in Windows 11 due to their weirdnes, and that is the start menu and the taskbar. As far as Windowblinds 11 is concerned I think it should be built around start 11. I would much prefer using a skinned Windows 10 / 11 theme along with a newly built taskbar that includes never combined tabs. From my experience using explorerpatcher I can confirm the taskbar still looks good

I am willing to bet more concrete answers will be announced after Sun Valley 2 drops for Windows 11 which is speculated to be Feb 4th on the DEV channel. This will be Windows big build of the year and all of stardocks software will need to be calibrated to it... Neil is probably busy pulling his hair waiting for it.

That does make a lot more sense to me with the screen shots. It may be a bug, but I do not have a drop down folder as my last entry so I can not confirm. A short term fix would be to access the zoom app a different way. You could either just pin it to your start menu or simply type "z" on your keyboard while the start menu is open and the zoom app should show that way as well.
