Game freeze in GalCiv IV Bug Reports GalCiv4 Forums

This has been an issue for years. Several times i experience that the game freezes when it's other civilizations turn. It just stops moving. I can press esc and exit the game or enter menus, but the game just stops. I have let it sit for almost an hour to see if it would continue, but no... The only thing I can do to not lose any progress is to save every time I do something in the game and that get VERY old really fast. Jonny B

After the update I experience crash after crash after crash... No matter what I do it crashes. There are no pattern to it. sometimes it's after reasearch, sometimes after a battle and sometimes it crashes just to annoy me(so it seems). When it does crash there are no way passed that point. I have to start over... and hopefully I get further, but no... :( Anyone else have this problem? Before the 0.7 update there were very little problem. Only hefty lag after playing a long ga

The last two games I have played the game freezes up suddenly. Or more correctly... I won't finish the AI turn. I can do everything, but when I'm done moving and building and what not it won't be my turn. This was an issue in GCIII and it's only on 0.55 on GCIV I have had this problem. Anyone else having problems with this or have a solution? Jonny B

I don't know if it's a bug or just my game, but suddenly my population is no longer changing. Doesn't matter what planet I'm on or how many planets I controll. I won't change. Growth is at 0 everywhere. I also notice that the skills of the population I do have are all set to 0 so it no longer matters what I train them to :( Anyone else experienced this? Crashing in Galactic Civilizations IV GalCiv3 Forums

Anyone else having issues with the game crashing to windows every time you try to add a citicent to another planet using the civilaztion menu and found a way to fix it? Some of my plantes won't "grow" their own citicents so I have to transfer. I know about using ships, but this is easier. Jonny B

Is there any way to bild ships wit all three defences? As soon as you research one of them that's what you are stuck with it seems. Kind of a bad move to attack with heavy shields when the enemy have only missiles and mass drivers... Thanks

Crusade was not one of the DLCs I bought. Someone in this thread said it was included in Retribution. Apparently that was not the case. Hopefully that is all I need. I don't mind supporting Stardock. They make awesome games, but... You know...
