Thank you for your video, but this won't allow me to place icons anywhere else. I keep clusters of related files I currently work on in the center of the screen (several groups). Fences are not suited for them either because fences always auto-arrange icons to top left and don't allow for space between icons.

Hi, I installed Fences because Windows keeps shuffling around the icons on the desktop instead of leaving them where I placed them. I have three fences, one each at the left, top and right border of the screen for often used programs/files and keep other files in groups directly on the desktop near the center of the screen. My problem now is that Windows often places new files saved to the desktop beneath a fence and then they are completely invisible. Making fences t
