Thanks for the fast reply. It turns out that it's a bug with Stardock Groupy that has existed for the past couple of years. Adding explorer.exe to the Groupy exclusion list fixed my non-maximised by default issue. Still wondering if there's an easy solution to the top-right corner of the screen not selecting the close button issue. Is there a way to easily edit themes to correct things like this perhaps?

I have the same issue. Using Windowblinds with the Diamond theme along with Groupy and Windows Explorer does exactly as OP is stating.

Currently using the Diamond theme with the latest purchased version of Windowblinds on Windows 10 v2004. For whatever reason, despite maximising Windows Explorer to fill the screen, when I reopen it does not remember this and opens as a smaller window instead. Also, is there a way to apply a skin without applying it to the task bar or start menu at all? Also also, when I do have a window maximised and move my mouse cursor to the very top right of the screen to close the window there is a pixe
