OK I dusted off my cmd prompt skills and used an elevated to run the code from the Start10 folder and I got a popup saying it was successful. I restarted the PC and tried file explorer again and it still crashes. Should I do the same for the 32.dll?
I used shellxview to disable extensions by program then try to get file explorer to crash. The only program that was left was Start 10 and I tested it several times and it clearly was causing the crash. Will that kill the whole program because I paid for and still want to use it.
For a long time I have had a very annoying issue with file explorer crashing and closing every time I right click on a left side menu item. I had enough and today I ran shellxview to find what extension was causing the problem and guess what...Stardock v.1.91 ext: Start10shell class v1.0.0.0 is the cause without any doubt. Any suggestions on how to stop this program/extension from crashing my file explorer? Here is the report from shexview: Extension Start10Shell
