Owell, all this was a waste of my time. Turns out that even with deskscapes installed, 256mb of video memory isn't enough to run on dual monitors. Which makes deskscapes COMPLETELY USELESS for me.
I'm at build 141, and it isn't detecting updates either.
I'm now having the same problem on a brand spanking newly installed copy of Vista Ultimate. Stardock Central tells me I have to have at least Windows XP to install DeskScapes! I have uninstalled/reinstalled SDC (shouldn't matter, this was a new install on a newly installed windows), I have it set to check for beta release of SDC (didn't seem to find one), started as administrator, etc, it just WILL NOT install deskscapes.
It won't work on my 256mb X850XT either in dual monitor mode. What a joke.... "cutting edge" and it can't handle more than one frackin monitor.

Zubaz: I'll touch it if I wanna. Additonal issue... I have a zoomer dock for running apps. When clicking on the app icon, sometimes it activates the app and brings it to the foreground, however about 2/3 of the time, if I've switched to other apps, it does not bring the app to the foreground, though the previous app still loses focus. This definitely is a problem.
Posted this on the announcement thread, but it seems more appropriate here. The issue I'm having on 1.6 makes it almost impossible to use, due to serious slowdowns. When using OD+, I'm having freezes on the desktop. The mouse won't even move, even when it is over other applications, for a few seconds at a time. A bit buggy at this point in Vista... 1) Taskbar still rears its ugly head sometimes even when it is set to be hidden by OD+. 2) Severe slowdowns... mouse freezes, etc, while using ObjectDock, even when working in other applications. Unfortunately, disabling UAC alone will not fix file permission problems... The best solution I've found yet is the TakeOwn registry hack... it allows you to Shift-Right Click, then do a "Take Ownership" from the menu which automates much of the tedium in taking ownership of a file in Vista... I'm using Vista Premium with WB 5.5.... ATI Radeon x800XT. For some reason, Gamma Adjustment is NOT WORKING. When I set it in the wb config, I can see the adjusted gamma on the preview like I want it. When I apply the changes, the splash screen as the skin is loading shows the darker gamma. Much of what he wrote has been shown to be mere guesswork and conjecture, and in many cases are completely incorrect. Yet, it gets passed off as fact because he made it look official.
