So since the release of groupy 2 ive been trying to strike that balance between convenience while keeping it looking stock. I requested an option to hide the groupy2 icon/button that was in the left of the titlebar as that deviated from that and I found redundant. Hats off, you guys put that in lickity(sp?) split! Apparently I wasnt getting update notifications and on a whim i manually checked. Went from initial beta release to the current general releas

Okay, one more for ya neil. I assume this is probably due to them being identified as the same under the surface (windowclass or something) but figured id mention it juuuuust in case. so with groupy disabled, as we all know by now, things like explorer and terminal have tabs baked into windows. What does not is control panel > all control panel items > programs and features. enabling groupy without any auto groups defined seems to enable tab

[quote who="Neil Banfield" reply="54" id="3888644"]Thanks for the bug report. It looks like if you have never had Groupy on a machine before it isn't setting that up right. As a fix right click on the groupy tab bar, pick the personalize tab submenu and tick the option to always show the add button. That should be an option if you have not enabled the option to force all tabs on globally in the config. An update to Groupy will resolve this defaults issue, tha

so with regard to this setting it implies that some windows will have the + regardless. shouldnt/wouldnt explorer be one of those windows? best I can tell, the minute you install groupy, explorer loses its + and as such you have to enable this setting to add new tabs. the caveat being now everything shows as being able t

Yea I’ll give that a go when I get home, as I can see it just fine from my phone (shoulda checked that first, I’m human lol) so likely something with cookies and/or brave browser.

Yea I’ve also noticed that mousing over the titlebar of an ungrouped window with no auto groups or grouping settings saved seems to be then manifesting one above. No idea if this is expected behavior enabled by default and a setting I need to disable or what (at work so only had a minute to play with it this AM). don’t recall that being a thing with groupy 1, but haven’t used it since win10 happened with gpedit.msc fwiw

I tried uploading it (100x100) in both png and when that didnt show up after about a day, I converted it to jpg thinking maybe png wasnt supported. still no bueno. figured id bring it to the attention of the powers that be.

love it! better late than never /jab :P would be great to have the option exposed/available to hide the groupy menu button/icon from the titlebar(s) though. seeing as those same options are available when right clicking on a tab, some (read:me) would definitely prefer a more stealth/stock look without that being there. just a thought/suggestion/recommendation/plea :)
