I've been using OD for years, and it has always launched almost instantly. But, in the past week or two OD's launch time has increased to almost a minute. If, after launching OD, I open the Windows task manager I can see the ObjectDock.exe process, but the dock itself doesn't show up for about 50-60 seconds. I've done some Windows updates in the past couple of weeks, and perhaps one of those is the culprit. Any clues as to what would suddenly cause this slow down?

I think that the image that follows best describes the problem that I'm experiencing. It seems that for certain file types the associated icon in a package is being applied but with an overlay of the default icon registered with Windows. As you can see in the example, the icon for *.txt files is correct, and the icon for default (unknown/unassociated) files is also correct, but it has a 16x16 Internet Explorer icon on top of it. This also happens with other file types such as *.rar, *.jpg etc.,
This may be a late reply, but I have to confirm what RogueSqdn said. I have a VAIO laptop with a built-in card reader. If I attempt to make any changes in IP while there's a card in the reader, it will always crash. But, if there is no card inserted, IP behaves as expected. I did not have to uninstall the card reader driver - just had to make sure that I ejected the card before making any changes in IP. Many thanks!
