Damn, looks like my Object Desktop subscription expired in late April, basically a year I couldn't even use it. Any help for that? lol
Jon, did you try the beta? If not, why not?
Why would I risk trying a beta when I have no idea if the catastrophic failure that causes me to have to hard shut down my computer and uninstall the software could happen. If I got word that the problem was fixed, I might, but I'mnot just going to try betas and hope for the best.
Stardock must be losing a lot of subs because I know I won't be renewing Object Desktop or any of the apps as they are simply not compatible with Windows 11 and they haven't been able to fix the problem in over a year. I feel kind of bad for them as I've been using their products for like 20 years now (off and on), through moves all over the country and stages of life... I don't know why this time is different than others, I've never seen their software in such a sorry state and for so
This has been an issue for over a year now. I wouldn't mind so much but this is a piece of software I paid for.
Also a little side note... I found that any animated Stardock Deskscape 11 skins caused my CPU useage to jump to 100%, and dropped down dramatically when pausing the animation.
I refuse to use Windowsblinds or Fences until I know for sure the issue is resolved. The error looping makes windows unworkable and I can't have that. It's a shame that this issue has not been resolved after 6 months. Especially since the software was not free.
So Fences was working for a few weeks. Rebooted, which enabled windows blinds and fences... and got caught in a massive looping crash where I couldn't even hard shut down any of the apps, I wound up shutting down explorer and having to uninstall fences and windows blinds. This was yesterday. I am using Windows 11 Pro
Very cool thanks guys!
It's been a month or more now that fences has been working for me just fine without any issues anymore. Though I haven't tried using Windows Blinds again yet...
I uninstalled windows blinds, fences... only using Start11 from Stardock at the moment... it's been ever since Windows 11 came out.
I love the idea too but it might be easier said than done :)
I agree, right-click sort by: Name, Type, Etc. would be great. Or just make a fences for start menu...

Windows 11 Style
Can we alphabetize pinned programs in Start 11? I really love the app, checked the settings, but cannot locate how to alphabetize the pinned apps. Thanks!
Thank you sdRohan, I am one of those who suffer the error loop, and had to uninstall Fences just to get control on my computer again. I reinstalled it,but received the same error again, but this time, no loop, so I haven't had to uninstall it, just leave it not running... if that helps.
Never heard of Directory Opus, but I imagine while an interesting workaround, won't work for most people who have no desire to pay for an explorer replacement just to get fences to work ;)
