Hi This is a copy of a post which was posted as a separate thread but I was advised to post it here as well. I have incuded the initial post as well as my response to a reply by Dr W. I've just purchased a 5-pack of Fences 5 and part of why I upgraded was that I thought the problem reported by myself regarding the spacing between fences had finally been sorted. Sadly I fooled myself since I've just realised that I was in Windows 10 NOT Windows 11. I therefore changed to

Thanks Basj Thanks for your reply. Just one thing to say and that is that the last three icons in your graphic don't show up when replying!!! One thing I forgot to ask was: is there a limit to the parameters of the graphics like size or resolution etc.? Tracey
Hi I have been looking all over the place to find out how to submit a graphic with my posts. Its not very often I need to do this but when I do I find that almost all forum have a different way to do it. So my question??? HOW THE HECK DO I SUBMIT A GRAPHIC WITH MY POSTS? I just can't find anywhere where this is explained! It can obviously be done, but HOW? Please, can someone, anyone, please explain how this is done in this forum as so far I've not found any
Dr W Thanks for your message but I've just this minute checked out what you have said but no, it does NOT work. The section of the dialogue in your reply shows a full size number -- both PCs here that are on Windows 11 show what looks more like a superscript number and it appears to switch only between 0 and 1. Currently, as I have said before, the ONLY way I can adjust the spacing is via Regedit and the SnapPadding parameter. Since I purchased a pack of five
Hi I've just purchased a 5-pack of Fences 5 and part of why I upgraded was that I thought the problem reported by myself regarding the spacing between fences had finally been sorted. Sadly I fooled myself since I've just realised that I was in Windows 10 NOT Windows 11. I therefore changed to Windows 11 and found it STILL does not work, and this was with the default settings. The first thing I did was to find where the spacing setting was located in the new config tabs. <br /
Basj Thanks at least for trying. For the moment though I shall just have to continue editing the registry key to achieve my aim. Tracey
Message for basj Any movement on this yet. Up to now the ONLY way I've found to do this is to modify the snappadding setting in the registry. Whilst it worked I'm not so sure its recommended. In fact I'm sure it isn't... BUT for lack of any other solution I tried it and it did work. Tracey Woodmason
Basj I have noticed that this could be done but really it does NOT answer my problem of why I can't fine tune the positioning horizontally a lot more precisely. Currently on my PC downstairs prior to this setting becoming 'unavailable' I managed to set the interfence spacing to 14 pixels but there is no way I can do this now - at least not on the desktop, the setting is simply disabled. I consider if it is there it is intended to be used and effective (as it is in Fences2). So really
Hi I have a problem at present that I just cannot find a way around and I'm pretty sure its something I'm missing. I have three copies of Fences for two PCs running both Windows 10 and Windows 11. Why three copies for four OSes? Well on one of them I'm using Fences 2 and the problem I have on Fences 4 just works on Fences 2. So what is the problem? On none of the OSes where Fences 4 is installed can I set the interfence spacing, i.e. the spacing between fences, in the La
