It WORKED. Thank you very much. I'll just add this if anyone should have similar problems: before you purge Fences and reinstall, take a snapshot, it won't be purged and you can restore it later.
This is driving me crazy, I'm thinking about uninstalling Fences. I have two monitors of different sizes, the primary one is 27 inches at 2560x1440 connected to a DP, the secondary one is a 24 inches at 1920x1080 connected to DVI in extended display mode (GeForce 1060, Windows 10). When I logon, all the fences are swapped and I have to move them back in place every time. With fences 2.x and 3.0 it happened randomly (roughly 50% of the times), then with 3.06 it seemed to be fix
