Yipee!!!! Issue finally resolved!!! I didn't need to do any tests. Clicking on icons inside a fenced area is a tiny wee wee bit slower than clicking a regular icon outside the fences. But its barely noticeable. Thank you so much to the team for resolving this issue! As the original creator of this thread, I'm assuming this case is resolved and closed! =) Cheers everyone!!! My system: 7700k, GTX 1080ti, Asrock z27
@preiner Short term solution is to install Fences 3.03 version Support is currently working on a final fix.
Yey for progress! Test A - Zero Lag Test B - Zero Lag Test C - 2 second lag
Hmmm I have a triple 1080p setup. Although I leave the 2 side monitors disabled most of the time. Ill try purging and reinstalling with only one monitor when i find the time.
I believe the cause of the lag is the amount of icons i have in the desktop which is around 200 icons; coming from different hard drives and ssds. Reinstalling Fences with few icons make it function normally.
Sad this issue still has not been resolved. Just running 3.03 at the moment.
Updated to the new Beta 3.05. Yup lag is still there. I purged the old version, then renewed to the beta. Initially its working properly, then lag starts after restoring my snapshot. Yes i have a lot of icons. Reverting to 3.03
http://www.filehorse.com/download-fences/ Fully uninstall 3.04 first via uninstaller. Restart. Then reinstall older version.
downgrade to 3.03. I had the same problem.
Hi, thanks for the suggestion, but I'm using a Nvidia 1080ti.
ticket reported. thanks
@thomas Uninstall version 3.04, download 3.03 at a 3rd party site by googling. Then it should install just fine
I can confirm reverting back to Version 3.03 fixes the lag problem. Sigh.
Good day Everyone! I just recently updated to Windows 10 Creators Update. After the update, I'm experiencing a sort of delay whenever I clicked on anything on my desktop. Clicking the icons, right clicking. Everything has a delay on it. So I tried disabling Fences and voila! Instant response. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Fences, but performance is still the same. Using Fences 3.0.4.12 Any help or suggestions would be truly appreciated
