I do Battletech names too - my civilization is "Star League," and I go for the Inner Sphere capital planets first (Tharkad, Luthien, etc.), then major planets, usually depending on the number of the planet being colonized. For example, I hold off on "Hesperus" until I'm colonizing a system's second planet, and I wait for a habitable fourth planet before using the name "Kentares." ~SDC~
