Resource gathering was great, even with the constraints of the tiny primitive view screen, I loved it. I'd like planets with very high risk & reward so that exploration is relevant in the end end game.

Chenjesu was my favorite because it rewarded planning. The ship was a sitting duck: slow top speed, slow acceleration, slow turning, and a "hard to miss" profile. It was a terrible choice in the hands of twitch/reflex pilot. But planning to score hits a couple of seconds into the future made it unstoppable.

My favorite SCII memory of playing was scoring perfect hits with diagonal shots. Somehow, my friends never got wise to that. My favorite SCII memory was getting into astronomy and recognizing the constellations and star names.
