Reply to Galactic Civilizations III 4.53 Changelog in GalCiv III Support GalCiv3 Forums

I have played 1600+ hours of GCIII. But since the last update can no longer launch GCIII. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared down load caches, run as administrator, When I verify I am told one file needs to be reacquired, then nothing. It does not reacquire. All I get now is the Start Menu then nothing, very frustrating. (I have been running Windows 10 for years).

I am not pleased with the cap on star bases. I only found out about administrators when playing the Mercenaries campaign. I now cannot reach the Drengin! It seems a silly idea, in my experience hiring an administrator is dead easy, hiring a scientist or engineer is not. My principal problem is building ships fast enough, yes I am probably doing something wrong but limiting a players ability to collect minerals and relics "to favour small empires" appears daft.
