Darken: Because in Vista, the Programs Files folder can often be completly locked down, by default. As result we've been forced to move settings to the user's data folder, and wanted to go with consistent behavior. I figure better to put this information in one place that is accessible vs. hidden away in an appdata folder.
jtherrien: unfortunatly I'm pretty sure there's a way around that :-/ Show Desktop I'm able to work around even though that does some certainly goofy stuff...but Flip3d is at far lower level than i can reach. aman2812: I think v1.9 which is coming out very soon will be able to help you. (It is the one that has been beta'd as v1.58/v1.59 on stardock central for the last couple weeks.) I've seen situations like this but very rarly. I've seen it when it comes to messed up security permissions on the settings folder. I've got something for you to try though. Once you get the new version, you'll see on the main screen a new "Troubleshooting Options" button/dialog. Open that up, and you'll see an

also: if you have a crash report please forward it over to support, with "v1.6 crash log for developer" or something of the like in the subject! If it didn't offer to save one, there's a good chance that you can find it in your ObjectDock's home folder... it'll look something like "ObjectDock Crash Report (4-21-2007 462d937de).zip" thank you!

Hey guys, I think that was one that crept in in the most recent beta. Did it happen in any of the previous ones? At any rate, I'm pretty confident that I've taken care of it, assuming it wasn't in v1.6-beta builds that were before a week or so ago.

Good news everyone, I've figured it out Refreshing the build tomorrow evening with the fix. Basically, I thought I had to make a change for Vista in a spot, but I didn't, I just needed to find a better workaround. Turns out the different type of mousehook that I tried to use in place of the old one was sloowwwww.
virtualrain: also, there's a note when you click it in the next refresh and the option grays out... if you have "always show thumbnails" clicked, there is no minimize animation as the image for the window is already being used as the thumbnail on the icon itself. Ran-as-admin apps will have trouble with the "show minimized apps only"/etc feature unless ObjectDock also is ran
virtualrain: OD's Vista minimize animation minimizes apps into ObjectDock taskbars that are on zooming docks (and only zooming docks). The feature only works if you have thumbnails enabled, and for non-grouped windows only. So if you want the animation always, I'd recommend turning taskbar grouping off.
MySecret: in the prior v1.6 builds the "show start menu" item was working fine but now after updating it does not? Hrm. Well, something to note with that you may have to reboot on update for that to work properly since it is updating a locked file.
