So is v2 finally able to move the taskbar to the left or right? That's the main feature I have been waiting for since day one of v1.

Another voice here. I'm also of the opinion that a vertical taskbar is the one thing that I miss the most in Start11. Having a horizontal taskbar is indeed a tremendous waste of space on the common wide display aspect ratios such as 16:9. For any kind of productive work I prefer the taskbar on the left on my left monitor and the taskbar on the right on my right monitor. It's the most natural and obvious thing.

Taskbar on the left side would indeed be a very welcome addition to Start11. I regularly placed it on the left side, when I wanted some extra vertical space. It would also be sensible addition from a business perspective since that feature is availabe on the other popular proprietary alternative Start menu product (I don't know, if I can say the name here.) and you don't want to incentivize people to try out the competitor.

If you pin internet shortcuts (".url" files) to the Win10 style menu, only a generic file type icon of the browser is shown. The normal MS start menu correctly displays the associated icon. Thats a real dealbreaker as I use the tile area of the start menu for all of my most frequently used websites.
