In my opinion, Dell Dock is the best docking program I've ever used and I've tried just about all of them. It's easy to set up, doesn't eat up a lot of memory (9k), and does the job. I don't need fancy bells and whistles, I just want something that works and looks clean. Nexus comes close but I love the thin outline of Dell Dock which it doesn't have. Yeah, masterbarons scapes didn't work for me either after the windows update but the rest did. I did as someone else already did and just uninstalled the update and everything works again. Do not do a system restore unless uninstalling the update doesn't work. Microsoft has since moved that update from recommended to the optional list. I wonder why...

IE10 apparently installs everything KB2670838 does. So people who did not install KB2670838 but did install IE10 are having this issue too. The problem is KB2670838 improves video performance so a lot of people will want it. Googling KB2670838 reveals all kinds of people are having issues with it, not just Deskscapes so Microsoft will probably fix this eventually.

Everything was working fine yesterday. I forget the exact name of the master skin I use but it's a close up of the earth turning. So, yesterday afternoon I notice there's a new Windows 7 update available. I install it and after the computer reboots my master dream stops working. I don't own ObjectDock but I do use Dell dock on a couple of my Dells. What I was wondering is if ObjectDock can make a Dell Dock lookalike where you can put separators in and have folders in it that have drop down menus. It looks like the tabbed OD would do that but I don't want to display tabbs. I just want to be able to mouse over an object and have it show there are other things in that particular tab. This wasn't a Stardock issue, it was a Windows 8 issue. After spending 4 straight hours with their tech support remotely controlling my computer they solved the problem by creating a new user account. They were able to get all the metro apps working except for sports and weather. Creating a new user account got everything working normally.

When I try to run any modern ui programs (mail, games, etc), the program tries to start but returns right back to the desktop. For example when I select mail the screen maximizes with the big mail logo then maybe 2 seconds later it goes right back to the desktop without opening mail. Selecting windows live mail from the desktop works fine it's just none of my modern ui programs work. Is this something in the configuration?
