Has your team come to a decision as to whether or not to support the Macintosh?
SteelVelocity
Not even a single view. I guess that's as good of an answer as I'll get. ... You know, I think I'm pretty much done with gaming. All it really is is a bunch of DLC now and a half assed story (if the devs even include a story). Good luck with your future endeavors guys.
So a couple weeks ago a StarDock employee wrote this about Ashes, " We are working on Vulkan API support. Unfortunately Apple has not announced support for this graphics standard, instead promoting their proprietary "Metal" API. This means it is a ways off, if it is ever done." What does this mean for future Mac support for the rest of your games? Can we realistically expect to see Star Contorl or others to be ported to Mac? </
Challenge 1 - You know, it's been such a long time since I've played Star Control, I don't really have that much attachment to the original races. A lot of them were kind of corny, to be honest. I think we'd all be better off with more believable (but still as fun) races in the game. Challenge 2 - I would HIGHLY recommend spending a couple hours playing Escape Velocity to get a feel for combat and exploration concepts. I can't tell you how awes
Will I be able to run the founders program on my Mac, or will this be a Windows exclusive for the initial alpha?
* Nice! Ashes looks pretty sweet. I'm very much looking forward to playing this on my Mac. * I agree with your design direction of keeping the aliens weird and not speaking English. * If you have any downtime, I'd suggest taking a look at Escape Velocity . That's a top down spaceship game with a style of gameplay that I think could very much benefit Star Control. Link ---> <a href="http://www.ambrosiasw.co
Awesome! I'll preorder the Mac port with a side of native development. [e digicons][/e]
Mac or iPad support? Common guys. I know you have a history with Windows, but you can't just exclude such a large user base after so much time has passed. Many of us computer users no longer use Windows or even have a traditional computer. I swear to god if you stick to Windows exclusive I'm going to be VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! /Zorg.
Hey guys, I am intrigued by your Star Control reboot, and was wondering if it would be compatible with my Mac or iPad. If not, would you consider planning support for the Macintosh community sometime in the future? Thanks for the clarification!
