I am using this in a "trial" version. So far I have been very impressed with two exceptions. The first is what you mentioned the erratic or missing mouse pointer. The second is the mouse seems to hang if I extend the pointer all the way to the edge of the screen. It seems to pause there and then releases itself. As I said, I am very impressed but these two issues may keep me with the hardware KVM solution.
