Ok ok, (sigh) here we go, into the registry. WARNING: Always be sure to back up the registry before doing this hack! Let's click the good ol' start button and press run. Type in "regedit" (without the quotes) and press enter. When it comes up, double click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Then double click on software, and double click on stardock. In there there should be a common folder and double click on it. Then double click on StartupManager. You should ony see DesktopX in t
I hope boots will be in it. My average is a 7
Sure. First take the original bitmaps and put them in a PiratedEdition3 folder in bootskin's skin directory. Then, copy another bootskin's bootskin.ini file to the PiratedEdition3 folder and change the name and autor of the boot. Change the name of the bitmaps to the ones that are in the folder, and the progress bar X and Y are wher the bar is located and the width(i think thats what it is called) is the length of the bars spinning area.
Go on a search and type in Luna.msstyle. If you do have the file, then you have the skins. Go to the themes tab in display and find the add more themes and then go find the file, wherever the search said it was.
In the programs folder
Hus-what are the other items in the startup folder in the start menu?
I beleive SKS automatically changes them when you edit a skin.
Also, Sir Travis: I don't worry about stuff like messing up the registry because I have Gateway GoBack(one of those optional things, but isn't sold on their computers anymore, but are sold by Roxio)
Sir Travis, I think you should consider Gateway at http://www.gateway.com. They didn't install any junk on my system, it was optional. alliem, glad your computer is all right now, but it is sad that your WindowBlinds is gone! I practically live in this skinning community, even though I live in Maine!
When you boot into DOS
With Paint
I have the same video card, with no trouble. Maybe you should check your monitor settings for that resolution the boots use.
lprice247, you will need to go into that application and select the add new themes button. In theme manager it is under add/remove.
I have trouble with DX Pro's browse buttons not working >
Maybe it is so you can see people's desktops and then download those skins if you like the combination.
I agree with Sir Travis.(But I do love the registry!)
I keep on having trouble with it too. Now I'm scared to use it. I can't use the preview screen, and when I'm in the middle of something, a box pops up that says "Canvas does not allow drawing" abot ten times and the my computer freezes. Is it just because I'm using Windows 98 Second Edition?(My boot says Windows 98 At
I have been having coloring problems with WB 4.2 build 116-NXP. After I open up a few windows all of the bitmaps start to go black.
I make the frames in Paint and then use GIF Movie Gear at http://www.gamani.com/ [Message Edited]
You can disable it from showing from View->Show/hide apps.
I just had the same problem. There is a program called TrayServer, and it must not be checked to run at startup. i went into msconfig.exe and checked it back up and now everything is fine
We sold an old Gateway that was Intel 60mhz computer in 2001, it was running perfecly. We had already got a new computer in '99, but had trouble selling the other one. We got the new computer for one reason. There was indeed one problem with the old one. Nothing was compatible anymore!! <img src="http://images.s
