Sorry, when I say "get nothing" I mean the UI won't render for them. We'd rather have poor performance for players than them not being able to play at all.

We have a UI fix that should be in the next patch that should greatly reduce the latency experienced in the late game. We don't know how it'll effect ATI drivers though and we don't want to push up a patch that improves the performance for 80% of the players while the other 20% get nothing. We're going to put it through QA today and early next week. We want to get this version out as soon as possible, but we want to at least maintain our current stability level.

Zickel - were you playing single player or multiplayer? In multiplayer there is a stock delay. I'm not sure about the single player AI. I'm pretty sure Soren has them gated so they don't buy you out instantaneously.

Soren's working on a dynamic campaign that is currently in the game. Most of the on-map skirmishes last about 30 minutes or so if you play at a normal speed. Soren's AI is quite crafty so I think there's a lot of fun to be had challenging yourself against it right now.

Hi Drakkeim, 1. I completely agree that this needs to be improved and that is a good idea. 2. Another good idea. We're trying to balance the amount of stuff on the interface with what the player needs to know and it's a bit tricky. We don't want to overwhelm a new player but we also don't want to not give enough information to an experienced player. We're likely going to be making changes with this and I'd love your feedback when we get them in. <p

We just checked in a fix to enable hardware rendering for the UI so the text should be much sharper now. Please let me know if it's still an issue after the next version. Thank you!

What kind of hardware is it? We've had some issues with Coherent rendering with certain videocards on PC, but we turned on software rendering to work around that. This is the first we've seen of the issue on Mac. Any information you could give us would be great. Thank you! -Scott-

I'm not sure, but we're using Unity so if other recent Unity games work then Offworld should work too. I will check with Jason and Joel tomorrow to see if they are aware of anything that is Yosemite specific. -Scott-

Hey DivineWrath, We're currently working on the next pass on the tutorials so your feedback is fantastic in helping us determine how to shape it. I really like the ideas of being able to practice to certain levels. We have a lot on our plate and I don't know when they'll be ready but I'd love to hear your feedback when we get the next version in. Thanks! -scott-

We're using Unity and, so far, we're really happy with it. It lets us focus on making the game rather than wrestling the technology. I've used Unreal in the past and I feel the workflow of Unity is much cleaner and it's much easier to prototype ideas. -Scott-

As I understand it (not at work currently): - Your opponent cannot ship from that market and their shipping order is pushed back in the queue or to another of their inactive Offworld Markets. - You can make shipments using their Offworld Market BUT the resources that are needed must be shipped over there, which consumes a lot of valuable time. -Scott-
