Hi, With 3.2 I've just started getting an error where Free Trandal units and especially shipyards don't display properly but are black and in the case of shipyards square (quite large) when you zoom out. I uninstalled and and reinstalled the DLC but it persisted. I'll try rebooting in a moment as well. Anybody else had this? Cheers, Jon

Hi, The battle viewer hasn't been working for me since 3.05. Not a big deal but a little annoying. I tried a vanilla game without Crusades (ie-DisableDLC "Crusades") and it worked fine so it can't be my graphics drivers and I've just uninstalled and reinstalled Crusades and it persists. When I try to run a battle the ships appear in the viewer but don't move and if I enable the battle log it's empty (ie no ships shown at all) which suggests that something null is being

Hi, After answering a post about the command line switch to disable Crusade, I was intrigued by the state of “Enhanced Vanilla” (no Crusade but all other DLC including Intrigue working) and decided to try. it It's very different from Crusade and I think harder but not te

Hi, I don't have any solutions but thought I should say that I also have/had the same problems. Since 3.05 I haven't been able to view battles at all. The screen just freezes but I can resolve the battle and continue. Not a huge problem for me but still irritating and something I'm imaging will disappear with the next patch. I had the generic name thing too for a while but that does seem to have been resolved on my system at least. Cheers,</
There is a screen shot above that was Yor on incredible/gigantic/V 15 opponents. With 273k at turn 100. Once you buy/conquer more planets and have 12+ and place POC + MC the rate of increase in income is just unbelievable. Anybody can pick POC by putting a few points into benevolent ideology. As for Resources I usually buy all an opponents star-bases before i buy his planets.
Wow that's se

Hi, I've just completed a game and didn't have any problems when i went over 1 million (except that it displayed as exactly 1000,000) so maybe they've quietly changed the number type? I hadn't previously remotely appreciated the power of the the port of call but was intrigued by the initial post and tried the Yor at Genius on a huge ,map with nine random opponents. Although I only managed to colonise three more planets, one was a precursor research world and using

Hi, In the latest build, the combat viewer seems to have stopped working. Not a big problem for me, since I hardly ever use it but a very mild irritation. I tried validating the files and got three to replace but no difference. Has this happened to anybody else and presumably, if so, Stardock ought to fix it. Cheers, Jon
Are you using a USB mouse? Have you checked to see if the problem is actually your mouse drivers and configuration first? If it is not a PS/2 mouse, it probably has some sort of software to configure it.
Hi, Yes it is a usb mouse - hence the comments about the usb devices. It was working fine until there was some sort of usb incident so yes I will reinstall it and see if that sorts it out. But I was wondering whether

Hi, I've recently been having trouble with USB devices unplugging and replugging themselves so it may just be the bus playing up. But I recently had a mouse freeze while playing (Intrigue 3.05 or whatever it is now) and after getting the mouse back by rebooting have now apparently permanently got a larger than usual mouse after starting galciv3 - though it's normal otherwise. (I presume I'm not misremembering the mouse appearance before the crash - if so apologies) <p

Hi, I'm intermittently getting a problem with 3.05 (which I've never ever had previously) in which some ships and splash screens for events display the internal names of objects rather than the external one for game use. For instance GovermentEmpireShip_Name rather than whatever the ship is (I forget now) which the Galactic Empire government grants. Is anybody else having this problem - which persisted even after I exited and validated files - or is it just me? And do Stardock
Game is absolutely fine. I will say it over and over again: if you play it right, it doesn't really matter how many and what kind of planets you colonize. Just build up a tall homeworld and then start your conquering spree whenever you feel ready for it.
Hi, I understand that you only need a couple of planets or even one really good one to get what you need but doesn't this depen
I took the plunge and got intrigue out of curiosity. Is it me or does the AI colonize much faster in 3.04 ? I had it set to incredible and by turn 10 the Arachnid had 5 planets to my one. That is unusual for my past experience. I noticed tech allowing more colonies and I can't research them for a long time. but it does not matter if you only have 1 LOL.
Hi again, Yes the AI bonuses have been ramped up, especial

Hi, The 4 colony limit isn't a hard one but you suffer discontent if you exceed it. This is certainly worth doing in the opening but you shouldn't choose a government with elections because you might lose them. I have no idea what happens then - perhaps somebody could post to explain precisely. But I doubt very much that it's a positive development. Cheers, Jon
If the game is only playable with mods. Then this game is sadly broken.
Hi, The game isn't broken at all though a good start certainly helps a lot.. In the opening, you just have to more or less ignore discontent and obviously not choose a government with elections - so Imperial rather than Colonial at the very start. Later you can choose a better government and also a

Hi, I was wondering whether this is new in 3.04 - I see unfortunate genius has been restored under another name - and how others feel about it. I guess I wasn't paying proper attention but still wasn't best pleased when my home world Snathi Prime was destroyed utterly after nearly seven hours' play, admittedly in a rather dodgy position. I can see that Stardock want to introduce some randomness but am far from sure that this is the best way to do so to keep playe

Hi, I've posted about this before but it still hasn't been remedied and it should be very simple to do so. I understand that people didn't like research or an economic bonus being repeated endlessly on planets because you forget about them but the alternative of one project at a time can become a real pain in the endgame when you have numerous planets with nothing else to do. In the game I've just finished I was the Iconians so by the endgame about move 140

Hi, The nerfing of mining production for balance reasons obviously had a number of side effects, some of which were presumably intended, some not. The AI's approach to resource trading has been hugely improved but like the human players they now have far less of them so you can't make a large bulk buy - as you could in previous iterations - even if you have enough to trade. Among other things, this has reduced the value of scientists since the&nbsp
