Hello I have the same issue! I was running the Start8 trial and everything was good. When the trial ended, the computer still booted straight into desktop mode. If I press the windows key then nothing happens, I am still in desktop mode. (Actually the window I am working in becomes deactivated, but nothing else visible happens.)
