Yup, same problem. I haven't been able to figure out exactly what sequence of actions triggers it and it doesn't happen every time.

Ditto. No List or Details view for desktop fences, but they are present for folder portals. Did the full purge and reinstall, no change.
Possibly related problem. When removing a drive (only seen this with USB flash drives so far), a blank modal window will appear with no window control elements (close, min, max buttons) or gui elements (no menu, rubbon, files). It's an explorer.exe window with no way to interact or hide, beyond dragging the top window frame. It can be closed by hovering over the taskbar and closing with the preview view close button. When I close this oddball window, all the desktop icons disa
That said, I have noticed some fences sorting error that has popped up in the last few versions ( as have been using 3.03 for ages) Basically a fence that has a large number of icons, like over 50-100+ when adding a new icon to the fence it will mess up alphabetical sorting, and no matter how much you flip between different sorting methods it wont sort anything alphabetically. But on reboot of the system the fence will be sorte
Saw that there was an update while randomly browsing and was skeptical, but it looks like the demons have been defeated. Thanks for all the hard work nailing down this bizarre bug. And building on what Jafo said, it wasn't just that the product failed that was so frustrating, but that it took down the entire system.
I'm thinking it's a combination of display size, number of items, and some type of Windows directory info update. It only shows up when I copy a decent number of items to the desktop or a subfolder on it. Some GUI elements take 20 seconds to show while others will only draw an outline, then pause for 10 seconds, unless I move the mouse o
Wow, this thread. Reminds me of late 90s forum bickering. Not sure if I like the cringe-worthy in-your-face company rep responses of back then or canned corporate handwaving sans action of today more. I don't have time to troubleshoot Fences, but I'll contribute what I can in this post. Used Fences way back in v1.0 days, but eventually uninstalled it and just came back (Humble Bundle last month). - Installed 3.0.5 and got the slow down after a couple days. Symptoms:<br
