Here we go again. Got a reminder on my windows screen that Fences had a new upgrade to v 6. so I buy it. And the product key I get from them is my old one. Is Fastspring a registered Stardock dealer or a scam? I am sorely tempted to get rid of all my Stardock products because the same thing happened last year.

I bought upgraded versions of fences and start11 tonight. My emails showed two instances of purchases for fences and zero for start11. When I go to my Stardock account page and look at my software, it shows me I purchased Start11 v2 and the activation code, which unfortunately does not work. If I can't get a proper code, I guess I will have to dispute the transaction with Paypal. Could somebody at Stardock tell me why I got the wrong code listed?

This has been happening for quite a while. I'm not sure which update caused it. I've seen it in two games so far. When you go to war with a civilization and beat the heck out of them, they usually surrender to you or to another civilization friendly to them. Alas, all those surrendered planets fall into a black hole and disappear. They are no longer on the map. So if you had a hankering for that class 26 planet now in your zone of control, there is no way to get it, even if it has been surren

I opted in to the 3.01 update. I loaded the save but it still showed the citizen as lost. But I loaded a save from just before destroying the ornery citizen, met him again, and this time he stayed blown up. So that bug has been fixed. Thanks for the help.

The bug is still there as I just encountered it. It needs fixing. If nothing else, you should be able to click on it like a ship and select decommission. Now I will probably have to invalidate a 256 turn game by turning on cheats.

The odd ship is still disappearing. Found a builder sitting on one of my planets, launched it, sorted my list, wasn't there. I went through the existing list and decommissioned as many ships as I could and some of the colony and builder ships now show up. Maybe the non-existent pirates are eating them. :-)

Didn't know that. Will do that. The last update totally screwed up my save, game-wise, as the influence change dropped about 200 new planets in my lap. Thanks for the tip.

I guess I meant the sensor range. Map looked totally strange after the update. I think my influence ranges over almost all the spiral galaxy from what I can see. Gonna have about 100 planets surrender to me in a dozen turns or less, if influence works like it did before. And what's with the 1 million$ + for tourist money on 1 planet? :-) Going to have a lot of ships upgraded soon.

Now that the newest update loaded, my ships range is shown in the wrong color, seemingly picking it up from the area they're currently in, even after they move out of the area. Ships near Iridium planets show the Iridium color as the range, instead of the colors that the other ships in other areas show. If there was a way to show upload a jpg, it would be easier to show. But it's revolting. Edit: Figured it out. Somebody changed the influence multiplier. What was nobody's space

Currently playing on a spiral galaxy with about 336 ships and/or fleets on my list. All my colony ships and constructors don't show up on the ship list. I know they're on the map because my waypoints show them on the way and I can eventually find them on the map and move them. This was before the new update which just downloaded a few minutes ago, but they still don't show. I think a survey ship or two is also missing from the list because they are definitely ships that I control manually and

You would think that an NVDIA GTX 980TI would handle anything GC3 could throw at. I've experimented further and found that the turns are not what is corrupting the files. It's the normal ship movements and planet colonizations which GC3 has to update in the files. I made all my moves for turn 186, exited, verified and fixedthe files, and the turn completed. I might have to do this every turn. BTW, I do like large maps. But I also like the mind-boggling devious scenarios that ensue fro

I have 5277 hours invested in Galciv 3. When it first came out, it was virtually unplayable because of all the irks and bugs. Now it has become more playable, though there are still major game bugs that need to be fixed. The primary one, and one which I believe make immense games unfinishable, is the unaddressed file corruption problem. My current game is set using Sid Meir's custom map, which means it is a huge spiral galaxy. I think I have met over 24 races so far.

Is there any way to modify the icon for a custom race in the save game? I changed a custom race icon when I started a new game and then the game picked an opponent with an identical icon. I met that race now after 80 some turns and it is confusing. I can't tell my planets from theirs. I do not want to start a new game; just edit one icon in the save game.

Is there any way you can tidy up the way Fences displays at bootup? I have my games icons on a separate desktop and my main fences on my home desktop. When Windows boots, it just throws all the icons in one big jumble on my home screen and I'm forced to look at that mess till the bootup is done and fences moves them where they're supposed to be. If nothing else, switch fences off till the bootup is done, and then move them to the proper locations, and display the desktop?

I think this was a song by Pieter, Paulsky and Maria, some time ago: " Where have all my starships gone, one update ago? Where have all my starships gone, one update ago? Where have all my starships gone? Gone to limbo, every one. When will I ever learn? When will I ever learn? " This is very annoying, to have only half your ships showing

Ship creation is a pain sometimes. Every time you update a ship in the designer, it defaults to type 'Escort'. And since the screen does not even mention the name of the ship you are working on (until you click save), you sometimes have multiple copies of your unique FluffyBump ship in the same fleet, some of which are capital ships, some interceptors, some assault ships and some guardians, because your memory is not perfect and you don't recall what type of ship you wanted it to be. I mean,

A couple of bugs were introduced with yesterday's update. When I invade a planet and don't conquer it right away, the tooltip shows the planet's population to be whatever it was before I dropped the transport on it PLUS my load of troops. So if it had 53 billion population and my transport had 3, tooltip shows 56. My next troop drop does show a negative population though, so the problem seems to be just tooltip math not being done. I've been complaining about the ship l

Ah! I did try landing at one of my planets and that didn't work. Next chance I get, I will trade for another freighter and land it at one of my shipyards instead. Thanks for the tip.

I ran across a bug today when I traded a faction for a freighter and tried to set up a trade route. The error was that there was no planet assigned to the freighter. I did a search on the forums and found this post from 2 years ago by Hanyou: "Traded for a fraction Freighter and it would not work Addition info for Ticket ID: OHE-685-94780 <div class="

99% of the game involves ships(designing, building, moving, attacking), so if you want the best game possible, and not have players wasting their time going through the same list multiple times for each turn, it would be worth fixing. Galciv 2 had the fix. It could be done with a couple of hours work by the coders. I'd even be willing to pay for the fix. :-) Another peeve of mine is that there is no option in setup to turn off AI ship designs for the player. You pla

I just finished a Galciv 3 game and encountered a minor bug I've never run across before. I was playing Terran and my influence building bases gradually let me take over another small faction (I think it was the Yor). They had a fleet of ships on their last planet and I watched as the rebellion status grew until the planet yielded to me. BUT, the ships did not leave the planet that was now mine, even though I could build and terraform the tiles. The remaining ships did not turn pirate, as
