I've tested this again after disabling all syncing and it's still stopping after some indeterminate amount of time, any other ideas?

I'm using a Microsoft account to log in but this is my only Windows 8 machine. I've just switched off all the sync settings and will test Deskscapes later this evening, currently RDP'd to my main machine. This machine is used for both coding and gaming, the three monitors on the Radeon can be set to Eyefinity for surround gaming with the HD4000 switched off. When working, I have four monitors on the desk and one on the wall for TV/films/background stuff etc. Can never have

Hi Sean, It's any animated dream, I've tried both the ones that come with Deskscapes and a couple of downloaded ones. I have no screensaver and the power options are set to switch off the displays after 2 hours. It's the Radeon running 3 monitors combined with the HD4000 running another 2 which I was considering slightly abnormal. :-)

Hi All, I've recently purchased and installed Windows 8, to make it complete I also purchased Start8 and on a whim, grabbed DeskScapes as well. Start8 is a fantastic peice of software, responsive and stable. I have a problem with DeskScapes, I will start an animated 'dream' running, it will work perfectly for a while then drop me back to my Windows wallpaper.
