Oh I did not realize that. Thank you. There is just one last thing. I have "Search should include files outside the standard libraries" checked off. What are and are not considered the standard libraries? The thing is, the search still doesn't find all files. I have an external hard drive connected that the search can't locate.
My primary Windows desktop will not be upgraded to Windows 10 until there's an official release of WindowBlinds for it. I'm not a "Stardockian" but I can NOT stand looking at flat window dressings all day long.
I agree. What I hate even more is how most programmers are competing with the flat style. A lot of my favorite software now have their looks ruined. Anyway, it looks like that WindowsBlinds is on its way.
It's not a problem. I am still very happy with Stardock's software. I sent the message with the attachment. Let's hope we can work this out.
I have a search box in the Start10 search menu, but it can't find files outside of the standard libraries. Then I realized that there's a feature to add the Start10 search in place of the Cortana search, so I thought I'd try that out. In the Configurations, I checked off the "Replace Start10 search with Cortana search" and then the search that was in my menu went away. It's not there anymore. Also, I have the option checked off that says "Search should i
Oops my mistake. I was looking under E for Edge, not M for Microsoft.
That's a good suggestion, but I like the way the directory already looks. It's already alphabetized, just not grouped. Anyway, if that feature is added, then they have to make sure that all programs appear in the list. I noticed that not all are showing up. For example, why is Edge not showing up in All Programs or Universal Applications?
Hi, I just want to start off by saying that I love Stardock's new start menu and how it can still use that Windows 7 look. However, Windows 10 did introduce a feature that I found to be very helpful, and that was the ability to sort out favorite programs and create custom groups. Is it by any chance possible that this same feature can be added to Start10's style? I have Stardock Fences installed as well,
Okay, I didn't realize it was just a little glitch that happens only after configuring the start menu. I have to say I love how everything else is designed and functioning.
I am having the same problem as Genopsyde. Also, size 9 is larger than 10 for me. And each time I make a change to the number, the menu either overlaps the task bar, or leaves a big gap in between the taskbar and menu.
I'd like to share an idea I thought of to add a favorites section to the Start8 menu. I love having the old start menu back, but I also like being able to organize in it's own special order. I also use another start menu for my favorite programs called Pokki, but it has gotten way too slow. I'm deciding to give up on it. I wanted to see if Stardock could add a customizable section to the Star8 menu that works similar to Pokki. <span
I don't know if there's a way to do this, but it would be a load of help if there is. My request is to allow there to be a way to fence files that are already in folders or removable drives. I keep all of my files on a flash drive, and I need to find a better way to organize them than to just have multiple folders. I hope this can be done.
@ Burningfeetman, Oh heck yes. Every file manager would need a search. @Zubaz, Thank you for your help kindly.
I happen to be a fan of file managers, but I just don't like Explorer. I thought it might be interesting for Stardock to release one of their own as a replacement. What do you think?
1. In a fence, can I remove the text of the applications and just have icons show? I can do that with the fences themselves, but I am not sure about applications. 2. Can I change the size of icons in one fence and not have them change size in another one or desktop?
